Andy Cooper
Andy Cooper graduated from Keele University (UK) in 1994 with a BSc in Music & Electronics, and immediately began work as a radio sound engineer. He joined Yamaha's R&D team in 1999 and began training staff and customers throughout Europe and beyond as they transitioned from analog to digital mixing systems. During this time he became familiar with the working environments at music festivals, stadium tours, theatres, worship houses and TV stations. Projects of note include events with Eric Clapton, David Bowie, Queen, Pavarotti, 2004 Olympics, 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, and many more. He became an expert in both networked audio and immersive audio early on, and continues to create training and video content for a wide range of Digital Mixing and Immersive Audio topics. He has visited 50 countries in his career and has presented/produced almost 200 videos on the Yamaha Global YouTube channel. In his spare time, he loves to play drums, guitars and saxophones.
