Dr Ganesh Magar, Hon. Treasurer, CSI Mumbai Chapter, and Professor in the Post Graduate Department of Computer Science at S.N.D.T. Women’s University, is an accomplished academician, researcher and technology professional with over 20 years of experience across academia and the IT industry. A former Head of Department, he has contributed to enhancing technical education, academic infrastructure and industry-aligned programmes. His teaching and research expertise includes Operating Systems, Database Management, Data Structures, Object-Oriented Programming, Computer Graphics, Image Processing and programming methodologies. His research interests span Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Web GIS, Mobile GIS, Geo-Spatial Big Data Analytics, Image Processing, SAR Imaging, Human-Computer Interaction and Visual Data Mining. Through his academic leadership, research and professional engagement with CSI, he continues to contribute to technology education and the IT community.
