A creative collaborator and event strategist, Ko has worked across multiple countries and industry sectors in the past 20 years in management roles. With global experience spanning North America, Europe and Asia Pacific, Ko joined InfoCommAsia in July 2023 to expand the international footprint of the expos in Asia Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, Ko is a Hong Kong born Canadian and Australian, and is a passionate leader dedicated to creating events to connect industries and people with meaningful memories.

Ko was recently Executive Director and Vice President, IAAPA Asia Pacific Operations. Ko joined IAAPA in 2014 with more than 20 years of experience promoting business interests in the Asia-Pacific region. She has expertise assisting Europe-and North America-based companies with successfully navigating cultural and business differences. Her background in product development and corporate services is an asset to IAAPA within the region.

Prior to joining IAAPA, Ko served as a director with Meridian Partners, a Hong Kong-based consulting company that assists clients engaged in corporate services and international trade, especially in China and Southeast Asia. Based in the Toronto office, she provided support and guidance to North American clients. Prior to Meridian Partners, Ko held various positions with ICS Trust, a financial services company based in Hong Kong; Ascalade Communications, a wireless communications firm with offices in Vancouver, Hong Kong, Mainland China; and Ngai Lik Electronics Trading Ltd., also based in Hong Kong and Mainland China.

Ko oversees the IAPL teams in Shanghai, China and Singapore, which hosts three international expos InfoCommChina, InfoCommIndia and InfoCommAsia in Beijing, Mumbai and Bangkok respectively.
She was named one of the Blooloop 50 in 2020, identifying her as one of the top 50 theme park influencers that year.

Ko earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto with a major in East Asian Studies and Economics. She is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.

Since joining AVIXA, Labuskes has worked to promote industry professionalism, expand global programs and raise awareness of AVIXA offerings. He serves on the Board of Directors of Integrated Systems Events, LLC, a joint venture European trade show company, and InfoComm Asia PTE, Ltd., a joint venture company in Singapore operating AVIXA’s Asian trade shows. Prior to joining AVIXA, Labuskes served as vice president of RTKL, now a division of ARCADIS, a leading architectural and engineering firm. He is the founder of the company’s Technology Design Practice, overseeing the delivery of audiovisual, voice, data, wireless, environmental media, electronic security and acoustics services. Previously, Labuskes served as President and CEO of Premier Technology services, a software and systems design consulting firm, and was Executive Vice President of Accelerated Payment Systems, an electronic payments processing firm. In his current role, as the Director of Generation AV, India; Prashant has setup a value-added distribution operation for Optimal Audio, Sonance, LEA Professional, HH Electronics, NST Audio, SurgeX and IMAG systems whilst representing Martin Audio, iPORT and James Loudspeaker as part of Generation AV’s portfolio of brands.

In the past, Prashant successfully crafted Harman Professional’s success story in India by transforming a single distributor led business to a diverse national distribution business with double digit growth in fixed-install, touring and portable PA, cinema sound, recording & broadcast and lighting.

Before Harman, Prashant worked for Biamp, as Regional Manager – India, Middle East and Africa, Completely hands-on and always approachable, Prashant was instrumental in setting the foundation for Biamp’s success in India.

Earlier, as head of Architectural Audio India, Prashant was instrumental in bringing Polycom’s Vortex line of products to India and was involved in several airport and large scale projects with Peavey’s MediaMatrix line and Symetrix’s Symnet line of DSP products.

A technology enthusiast at heart, Prashant’s passions in Music and Coffee are known to many. He is also an avid collector of vintage audio gear, turntables and vinyl music records and spends his spare time mentoring startups in the independent music and professional audio space.

Dr Jairaj Moreshwar Phatak, an IAS officer of 1978 batch, served as the 25th Municipal Commissioner of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), India, from May 2007 to October 2009. He is known for his Encyclopaedic knowledge and sharp replies. He succeeded Johny Joseph as the Municipal Commissioner of Mumbai in May 2007. Earlier, he served as the Principal Secretary in Urban Development department of Maharashtra Government. During his tenure as Secretary, school education department was lauded for the efforts he undertook to improve welfare of students. Significantly, where ever Dr Phatak was posted, as a Collector Nagpur, Municipal Commissioner, Mumbai or Managing Director of the Rural Electrification Corporation, he made his presence felt. Dr Phatak retired from service in 2015 after more than three and a half decades of service.

Tikender Singh Panwar is the former Deputy Mayor of Shimla city in Himachal Pradesh. He prolifically writes and speaks on urban India and its multifarious challenges and has managed to carve out a rare niche for himself in the urban sector. Panwar was elected in the first and only direct election for the position of Deputy Mayor of Shimla, which was held in 2012. He has been credited for introducing the Smart Municipal project, a comprehensive mobility plan, city sanitation plan, city resilience index, and hazard vulnerability risk assessment while serving as deputy mayor of Shimla. Panwar also served on the national task team that was established to evaluate the 74th constitutional amendment to the constitution, which calls for decentralised government. Currently, he serves on the Kerala Urban Planning Commission.

As a designer, Amardeep Behl has been passionately involved in finding expression, working with space. Drawing from a wide range of media from traditional storytelling techniques, props, sets and dioramas, to films, interactive and other multimedia, his work is a journey towards finding and creating an Indian expression of design- an expression strongly rooted in its culture and traditions and is applicable in the contemporary times.

Having majored in Exhibition Design at the Department Of Visual Communication of The National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad, India, he founded the design firms, Oriole Design and later, his present firm, DesignHabit.

In his area of professional practice of over 30 years, for the first two decades his work was an exploration of bringing in the sense of the ‘narrative’ in spaces across diverse projects from museums to exhibitions, corporate exhibitions to production design for films, envisioning real estate themed development to the reuse of existing heritage sites. Over the last many years Amar has been specializing in his distinct version of Museum Design by creating narrative-led scenographic museums.

His pioneering vision in museum development is to not merely see the museum as a collection of artifacts and exhibits, but as an experience. Thus, the museum becomes ‘visitor centric’ as opposed to ‘artifact centric’, creating a trend.

Amar uses space as a medium to emote and provoke messages and meanings. Much like a storyteller who uses words in rhyme, prose and songs, he coheres various media, like architecture, graphic design, industrial design, photography, and audio-visual, into a common language brought together in space.

Vipul completed his Computer Engineering degree in 1990 and was immediately offered the post of Scientist at ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization). He contributed to the design of the ASIC for image processing and PC-based image processing hardware, firmware and drivers. After serving the nation at ISRO for five years, Vipul dedicated himself to voluntary service at the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) in 1995.

From his early teen age, Vipul Vaghela has been volunteering at BAPS – a worldwide non-profit fellowship. BAPS is known for some majestic spiritual and cultural campuses – especially the Swaminarayan Akshardham temples in New Delhi, in Robbinsville, NJ, USA and in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. These temples house some of the best story-telling experiences like multimedia shows, audio-animatronics shows, spectacular water shows and large format / giant screen theaters.

At BAPS, he has been taking care of different responsibilities across projects for the past three decades, including identifying the right technologies for immersive story-telling, working with creative teams for effective modern presentations of ancient stories, technical designing of attractions with teams of in-house volunteers, and training volunteers for installation, programming and successful completion of all projects.

Vipul’s expertise spans across various domains, including Audio, Video, Information and Technology, Cybersecurity, CCTV security, Fire and BMS, designing of immersive experiences like projection-mapping, water shows and large format cinema.

• India’s first animatronics characters-based show in the year 1992 (Akshardham Gandhinagar)

He has also worked as as a co-ordinator on UGC sponsored scheme of e-learning and m-learning specially designed for teaching and research, GoI Meity’s Visvesvaraya PhD scheme, GpI’s DIW, Networking Cell etc.

He has exhibited meritorious performance in his studentship. He has more than 38 years of experience in teaching, research, IT business and IT professional. Throughout his career he has extended his guidance and teaching on more than 50 subjects at various UG, PG, research and profession level areas.

He has done his PhD in area of robotics, AI and computer architecture. More than 30 candidates have completed PhD under his supervision and more than 5 are perusing the PhD at national and international level. His area of research is Robotics, AI, Computer Architectures, IT including Image processing, Wireless Networks, Signal processing, security, HPC etc.

He has completed one UGC research project on ‘Development of ES for control of 4 legged robot device model.’ One UGC research project under innovative scheme. At PG level. Also he has guided more than 300 projects/discretion. He has published more than 450 papers in International & National level Journals and also International Conferences and National level Conferences. He has also successfully completed the Software Development & Computerization of Finance, Library, Exam, Admission Process, Revaluation Process of Amravati University. Also completed the Consultancy work for election data processing. He has worked as member of Academic Council, selection Committee member of various Other University and parent university, Member of faculty of Engineering & Science, BOS (Comp. Sci.), Member of IT Committee, Member of Networking Committee, Member of UGC, AICTE, NAAC, BUTR, ASU, DRC, RRC, SEC, CAS, NSD etc committees. He has also worked chairman of many committees like BOS, Monitoring and Control, New Installations, Curriculum design and developments etc. He has organised more than 50 Summer schools / STTP/ Conferences / Seminar /Symposia / Workshop /Orientation Program/Training/Program / Refresher Courses. He is member and fellow of Learned Societies like Institute of Engineers, Indian Society of Technical Education ISTE, Computer Society of India CSI, etc. He has delivered more than More than 100 Keynote addresses and Invited talks in India and abroad at the occasion of International & National level Technical/social events, International Conferences and National level Conferences, and also acted as session chairs many times. 3 times he has received National Level excellent paper award at National Conference/ International Conferences. During the dual degree program Christoph Eppert worked mainly in the product development of Sennheiser. As a Sennheiser Systemengineer, he has been responsible for the technical supervision of Sennheiser Installed Sound products from 2004 to 2010. He provides product consulting services, product manager support and technical support as well as English and German business process courses for customer and sales partners.
From 2010 to 2014 as Projectmanager Marketing Communication Christoph took care of several Marketing projects serving Integrators, planers & resellers.
